Struggles and Revelations

This week…

I was sharing with my students some of the difficulties I struggled with when I got saved; it was hard for me not to have a cross with a Christ nailed to it to focus on it to pray.  See the meeting place at that time was an unused old sanctuary; seems that it was on the process of being remodeled and it had nothing else than two long bench that we kneel by to pray, a stage, a piano, and some speakers. Three quarters of the pews were covered with black material to show it was not to be used. And there was NO CROSS at all! Still today after many years of being remodeled it came to be the Youth Chapel where our Children’s Church meets weekly, you will find no cross anywhere there! But anyway, after 30 years of being catholic and focus on the physical cross that had HIM nailed to it, and turning away from that religious spirit I thought I needed the cross to get my prayer going.  But that’s when The Lord stepped in and showed me that CHRIST wasn’t in the cross because He was just there for a few hours, HE rose and HE’s been ALIVE forever, so why to keep HIM crucified?!

In another subject, I wonder how many of you really understand what GOD is revealing to you thru your dreams. If you’re a believer it is really important that you pay attention to your dreams!  God will reveal things to you thru them; He will warn you about things to come, choices to take, things to avoid, including people, places or things; He will show you the open doors and the close ones too! Very early on my Christian walk I realized that God was speaking to me thru my dreams so He placed in me a deep desire of guarding my sleep, and so I did.   I LOVE what I get from the LORD, almost every night.

For example, personally I would leave at times the TV on a weather or a music station where the action and the light is not much, all in order to have a little light on the room, but it would have little or no volume, because I noticed that any type of noise would conflict when I recall God’s words as I wake up.  For example while sleeping when He place a song on my mind, as I wake up, if I hear the TV or someone talking usually the song disappears before I get to recognize the tune or its lyrics.  

I would suggest you to have a notebook by your bedside that way, as soon as you open your eyes, whatever GOD placed in your mind, it should be recorded and remember to date the document in case you have to go back and compare details or revelations that might become later on a different date.  Believe it or not, as you’re recording whatever God had shown you while you were sleeping, He will bring to you details about that thing He’d showed you; He might tell you the place, the people, and like so.  although those things you’re recording you might think it have no value, it’s important you do not stop recording because it is thru these that HE will make you aware of things you do not know, or maybe you do not understand about, as you’re recording them, you might ask, and GOD will reveal things to you.  Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

I love the book of Daniel sometimes I see myself writing like him, and feel like is been written to encourage me.  This book is filled with his dreams and visions; he even predicted the birth of Jesus five hundred years beforehand.  He writes in Daniel 2:28 “But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets.”  Because when King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and couldn’t figure out the meaning of it, after unsuccessfully summoning all the magicians, astrologers and sorcerers to see of any of them could get a revelation of that dream, he was offered to call Daniel.  And the Lord revealed things to Daniel in a powerful way, He revealed Daniel not only the dream the King had but also its meaning.  Please believe that in the same way GOD made it for Daniel, HE can and will make for you, it all depends on how desperate are you to hear from HIM!

I’m working to make a list of the things that will help you to set your nights in order to better receive God’s revelation; I will make it available as soon as I finish it. But for now, get your notebooks by your beside and start recording!

My prayer for you is an increase in the desire you have, to know more about God’s revelations of your dreams, and the things you need to know in order to be ALL HE had called you to be, to say and to do, and for HIS glory I pray, in JESUS name, AMEN!
